How much to bet on parlays: bankroll sizing
How much should you bet on a parlay?
Less than on a straight play. Parlays hit less often, so losing runs are longer: a ticket that hits 25% of the time misses 10 in a row about 6% of the time. A common approach is to stake a fraction of your normal unit on parlays and cap how many you play a day. On the DARIMARKET board from Sep 13, 2026 through Oct 27, 2026, straight plays went 1848–1040 (64%) and parlays went 269–370 (42%).
Why parlays get smaller stakes
The payout is bigger because the chance is smaller. With a smaller chance comes longer dry spells, and a bankroll has to survive them.
| Ticket hits | Chance of 5 straight misses | Chance of 10 straight misses |
|---|---|---|
| 50% | 3% | 0% |
| 35% | 12% | 1% |
| 25% | 24% | 6% |
| 15% | 44% | 20% |
A simple way to size them
- Set a unit, often 1% to 2% of your bankroll. See the unit system.
- Stake parlays at a fraction of that unit, and cap how many you play a day.
- Never raise the stake to win back a loss. See chasing losses.
What the board's record shows
DARIMARKET grades every board play after the game, misses included. From Sep 13, 2026 through Oct 27, 2026, straight plays went 1848–1040 (64%) and parlays went 269–370 (42%). That gap is the multiplication rule at work. Past results do not predict future ones.
