Is points + assists (P+A) a good prop to research?
P+A adds a player's points and assists into one line, so a quiet scoring night can be offset by more assists. That often makes it steadier than points or assists alone, especially for ball-handlers, which makes it a useful prop to research. It is not automatically better: books set the combined line knowing this, and minutes still drive both stats. Check the last 10 and last 5 on the exact P+A line and the price.
Who it fits: guards and playmaking forwards whose scoring and passing trade off night to night. For a player who rarely passes, P+A behaves almost like a plain points prop.
What to check: minutes (blowouts and foul trouble cut both stats), usage when a teammate is out, the opponent's pace, and the last 10 and last 5 on the exact line.
Related combos: points + rebounds (P+R), rebounds + assists (R+A) and points + rebounds + assists (PRA) work the same way. Combo props are combined stats for one player, not a parlay of separate legs.
DARIMARKET tracks P+A, P+R and PRA last-5 and last-10 hit rates for every tracked NBA and WNBA player, free.
