Ole Miss beat Vanderbilt 52-17, and the game was over by halftime. After a Brock Taylor field goal cut the Rebels' lead to 7-3 in the first quarter, Ole Miss scored 35 straight points, 28 of them in the second quarter, to lead 42-3 at the break. Trinidad Chambliss accounted for four touchdowns, three through the air and one on the ground, and the Ole Miss defense forced four turnovers, scoring on one of them. Two DARIMARKET plays cashed on this game.

What cashed

Ole Miss ML (-355 at DraftKings): CASHED

  • Our read: Ole Miss was coming off a bye and had won the last five meetings in the series by 24.4 points a game.
  • What happened: The Rebels won by 35. Chambliss completed 20 of 30 passes for 213 yards with three touchdowns and ran in a 10-yard score in the first quarter. Ole Miss ran for 196 yards on 35 carries, and the defense picked off Jared Curtis twice and recovered two Vanderbilt fumbles. Suntarine Perkins returned one of those fumbles 5 yards for a touchdown with 43 seconds left in the first half.
  • Worth watching: Short moneyline prices only make sense when the favorite has a clear edge, and this one played out like the series history suggested. The price was steep, but the result was never in doubt after the second quarter.

Kewan Lacy under 19.5 receiving yards (-114 at FanDuel): CASHED

  • Our read: Lacy was back from a shoulder injury with a planned snap limit and a rotation with JT Lindsey and Makhi Frazier. His receiving role was already thin.
  • What happened: Lacy did not catch a pass, finishing 19.5 under the line. He carried seven times for 39 yards and scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter. Frazier led the team with 73 rushing yards on 13 carries.
  • Worth watching: When a back is working through a rotation and a snap limit, his receiving yards are the first thing to shrink. Unders on thin receiving roles are worth a look when the workload is capped.

How the game played out

Vanderbilt actually had the ball longer, 33:56 to 26:04, and converted 9 of 17 third downs, but the turnovers wiped that out. Curtis completed 19 of 32 passes for 222 yards with a touchdown, a 13-yard throw to Ja'Cory Thomas in the third quarter, and two interceptions. Ole Miss spread the ball around: Deuce Alexander caught five passes for 74 yards and a 39-yard touchdown, and Shekai Mills-Knight added a 35-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Trends to watch

  • Ole Miss split its carries among Frazier, Lacy and Mills-Knight. Until Lacy's snap limit lifts, Frazier is the Rebels back with the bigger workload.
  • Chambliss had four total touchdowns. He is involved in the scoring both ways, which makes him worth a look in touchdown markets.
  • Vanderbilt committed 11 penalties for 92 yards along with four turnovers. Mistakes like these turn a competitive box score into a blowout.
